Itineraries
Day 1
GALAPAGOS ARRIVAL (FLY TO BALTRA ISLAND AIRPORT) - Charles Darwin Station
When you arrive at Baltra airport, our guide will be waiting for you to begin the tour. From the airport we will board a transport that will take us to the Itabaca canal (approximately 15 minutes). In Itabaca we will take the public ferry to cross the canal, the trip lasts 10 minutes approx. Then we will take our private transportation to Puerto Ayora - Santa Cruz Island (approximately 1 hour). Arrival at the hotel and check-in.
Lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we will visit Charles Darwin Station, where we can observe giant tortoises in captivity and learn about the breeding program of this majestic animal. Return to the Hotel. Welcome Dinner.
Day 2
Day tour by Yacht
On these boat tour days, you will first enjoy breakfast and then be picked up by your guide. You will get to visit one of these special places based on availability: NORTH SEYMOUR, SOUTH PLAZAS, BARTOLOME, SANTA FE, CHINESE HAT. Optional activities may include walking, swimming and snorkeling. Lunch will be served on board. After your exciting day you will return to the Hotel, Dinner (not included).
Day 3
Day tour by Yacht
On these boat tour days, you will first enjoy breakfast and then be picked up by your guide. You will get to visit one of these special places based on availability: NORTH SEYMOUR, SOUTH PLAZAS, BARTOLOME, SANTA FE, CHINESE HAT. Optional activities may include walking, swimming and snorkeling. Lunch will be served on board. After your exciting day you will return to the Hotel, Dinner (not included).
Day 4
Santa Cruz Highlands * Transfer to Isabela Island * Flamingos Lagoon
Breakfast. Check out, leave luggage in storage and we will take you to the Galapagos rainforest habitat to visit Los Gemelos (“Twin Craters”) natural volcanic formation at 400 meters above sea level, surrounded by a forest of “escalecía”, an endemic plant of the Galapagos. We will observe the different species of Darwin´s finches as well as Vermilion Flycatchers and, if we’re lucky, the elusive short-eared owls. Next, we will visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz to learn about and enjoy the majesty of the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. We will also walk through a lava tunnel with 100% volcanic formation.
After lunch (not included), we pick the suitcases from the hotel and we will go to the dock to take the speed boat to Isabela Island, where after the arrival and check-in, we will visit the FLAMINGOS LAGOON; In this place you can see flocks of flamingos that come to feed in the lagoon. Dinner included
Day 5
Sierra Negra Volcano
After breakfast we will have an excursion to SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO. This volcano is located 13 miles away from Puerto Villamil and is the second largest volcano in the world at 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep. We will travel by bus for 45 minutes to the Galapagos National Park check point, where we will begin a hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano. Lunch at the Highlands. Leisure afternoon
Day 6
Tintoreras Islets - Tortoise Breeding Center – Wetlands – Muro de las lágrimas:
After breakfast we will visit Tintoreras Islets, so named because White-tip reef sharks known as Tintoreras live there. We can also observe Penguins, Sea Lions, Marine Iguanas and we can snorkel with sharks and a big variety of multicolored fish. Back to hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Tortoise Breeding Center to learn about their program. Continuing the journey to the MURO DE LAS LÁGRIMAS (Wall of tears) place with historical relevance, stopping along the way in different WETLANDS spots. Return to the hotel. Farewell Dinner.
Day 7
Transfer to Santa Cruz * Departure
Early in the morning, we will take a speedboat to return to Santa Cruz island, where our guide is waiting for you to make the transfer to the airport. Depending of your flight ‘s departure time, breakfast will be served at a local restaurant on Santa Cruz or a box breakfast will be delivered.

Luxury Class
Our Luxury tours include the same exceptional service and itinerary as “Moderate” and “First Class,” the difference being your accommodation: Galapagos Islands’ most extravagant version of a Resort Hotel. All Luxury class hotels include a pool, hot tub, and oceanfront dining. Ocean views from individual rooms likely but not guaranteed. Luxury hotels may also include elevated decor, amenities, scenery and service. Being located in Galapagos, your hosts at GIA are very familiar with each hotel and their staff, and will always ensure that our guests receive the best rooms available as well as the most attentive service at all times.
First Class
Our First Class tours include the same exceptional service and itinerary as “Luxury” (including private guide and private transportation), with the difference being the hotel accommodation. Our first class hotels are beautiful, with most including pools, waterfront restaurants and water views based upon availability. Being located in Galapagos, your hosts at GIA are very familiar with each hotel and their staff, and will always ensure that our guests receive the best rooms available as well as the most attentive service at all times.
Moderate Class
Guests choosing our Moderate tours enjoy the same exceptional service and itinerary as “First Class” and “Luxury” (including private guide and private transportation), but with cost savings in the hotel accommodation. Our Moderate hotels are still very nice and conveniently located, just a few less bells & whistles (such as water views, pools and waterfront restaurants).
